It has taken me awhile to get back to my blog...
I celebrated a wonderful Christmas and New Year's Eve with my family and friends back in the States. Then I flew back to Uganda with a stopover in Dubai. It happened to be the opening of the tallest building in the world. Funny thing though, they don't really light it up, so it is hard to see when you are only in Dubai after dark.
About an hour after landing into Uganda, I tried to start unpacking, but my friends took me straight to the beach. What a good first day back!
I have started my new job as Training and Development Manager at Coach Africa. It always seems my jobs are hard to explain, but here goes: I meet clients, assess their needs, propose solutions (training, coaching, etc.), develop and structure the training, facilitate the training, then write a report on the training and action plans.
So far, so good: I am enjoying my job, and I facilitated my first training this past weekend with good reviews. I even tried to use some Luganda in my presentation-- Ugandans just love when a Mzungu tries to speak one of their many tribal languages!
Anyways, I hope to have more exciting news and adventures soon!
