I'm Here

I’m here—and that is an overstatement. I’m in an unforgettable, but easily overlooked village in Eastern Uganda. The people are generous, always saying “you are most welcome,” and the lush surrounds are unbelievable. The adjustment has been better than I feared, but I do realize it is still the honeymoon phase.

I haven’t had much success with access to the internet, but I learned the trick: copy and paste. I will be typing everything from Microsoft Word first, and then copying and pasting from Microsoft Word as the world wide web allows. Please do forgive me for any errors, as I do not have a speechwriter or staff secretary with me, and I only have a fact checker here for a short time.

In the short time I have been here, I have so much to write about, but many of the topics: self/body image, general attitudes, progress, politics, education, values, religion and what not, I’ll wait until later when I have had more exposure.
